I have been up to now a very happy member of this group of cc owners and would like to thank all the members for the lots of good advice that they have given to the newbie’s like myself. One of the main things I liked about this, was the happy family atmosphere and the way the more experienced not just in way of the car but about computers as well help out.

But after reading the reply "In the ice section" given by the member Markfc

“f'u'c'k me there are some stupid 206 cc drivers, how many times have we explained how to fit an after market unit?

you cannot use the existing stalk with anything other than peugeot head unit that comes with the car...if you take out the stereo you need to replace the stalk.

f'uc'k it i'm unsubscribing from this stupid forum

I'll agree with that, but judging by his comments he has already gone!

I thought we were all here to help each other, discuss our cars and maybe have a joke at each others expense (guilty as charged) but I think that's a bit OTT.

Still, with a mouth like that he could be Roy Keane in disguise, therefore he can get away with anything!

Stuff a prawn sandwich in his mouth, that'll shut him up!!!
Duuhhh.... Peugeot Monkey Business.......

there's no excuse for his reply but it does highlight how the search feature on this forum could be used.

i haven't read a single post in the ICE section for 2/3 months now as i have no interest in it but your question was so common when i was reading it so i guess the guy has got pretty fustrated at so many people asking the same question that he couldn't take anymore of it :)

Sorry Derek

Just a few points on you reply

1. I did not ask the question
2. I do know how to use the search function

I also realize that you have done a lot for many people on this forum and I for one thank you for it. But and it is a big "but" not all of us as I said are computer experts. Just a band of some time happy some time frustrated with Peugeot !!!!!! 206cc owners

sorry greg,

i just presumed as you highlighted the problem that it was a reply to your question. as i say i don't read the section and still don't so i haven't seen the post :)

anyway, as i said earlier the guy sounds fustrated although still no excuse for his reply so don't let it bother you as you know it isn't the normal attitude from members on this forum.

a while back we had problems with paul 738 and his cronies causing trouble especially where children are reading the forum. i know lyndon will remove any offensive posts once he knows about them and people like yourself letting him know will be of great help.

in the meantime enjoy your CC and continue to enjoy the forum for what it really is :D

Yep as Stephen an Derek says, chill n peace to all.

GregT, I read your post with sympathy, being one of the older members here, and yes having experienced the same sort of thankfully one off abuse, I can tell you that Lyndon has made a public commitment to ensure that no member levels abuse on another, or that member would be banned which, in his own words, are mirrored in the rules section of this forum.

So, I hope you do what I did, continue to post on the forum in the knowledge that 99.9% of members are decent and patient people excluding of course the small element who will, from time to time upon deciding to leave, turn to become abusive, disruptive, troublemakers. They have no interest in building this forum into what it is, an interesting and often entertaining site to visit.

Of course I'm sure once Lyndon reads your post he will no doubt act upon it and that hopefully will be the end of it. I sincerely hope it doesn't result in sensible members leaving this forum who without them, this forum wouldn't exist.

Robbie. :D :D :D

Wow! Controversy!!!! I've been away for a while and looks like things could be as spicy as ever.....Ahhh, how i remember the good old days here and especially the Paul73whatever saga - now that was fun!
Oh yeah - Greg T? Don't think i've spotted you yet but that's only because there's so many CC's here in Brize Norton (a bloke in the next street has just got a 52 plate silver 2.0 like mine  )
Sod it - i'm going back to Germany - i was unique there at least!!!!!!

I completely agree with all the points made above (first and no doubt last time I'll ever say that ;)).

Just one tiny point though, isn't it ironic (whoa Alanis!) that Greg's had to post offensive language in order to complain about people posting offensive language? Especially as hardly anyone noticed it there in the ICE section but we've all now read it :?

Markfc original post deleted (ICE section)

Sorry people, have been very busy lately. Xmas is near and we need to sell more KENWOODs. :D

Most of the time, Lyndon and us moderators do not have the time to read all posts. If there are posts thats not pleasing to read. Please do PM us straight away. We can then act on it.

Final decision shall be made by Lyndon regarding forum membership.

Cheers

but regarding the search function ... I honestly don't mind repeating myself when people ask questions. if you're going to reply to say use the search function you might as well answer it anyway ;)

heck.....when i first joined i was too excited to look at the options at the top of the page - just wanted to find peeps who agreed with me on how great the cc was!

the search engine was pointed out to me, very kindly, by someone, when i asked a very common question - and that was so helpful, i use it all the time now....

....might as well put in my tuppence worth - fantastic site, fantastic forum, fantastic peeps here, and fantastic manager
