Hi,

I've had my CC for about 5 months now. for the last 3 months I've been getting that horrible sqeeky fan belt problem we all know and hate (normally from older cars though!)

I've taken it into the dealer and they claim it's a known problem and they are waiting for the replacement part... I've been waiting for 3 months!

Anyone else had this problem?

Many owners have had to wait months for parts ........oh, sorry, not that problem!

Haven't heard anyone else comment on fanbelt noise.

Makes a change for a dealer to admit that a problem is 'known' about.

Yeah, that's when it happens to mine.

Pug tells me that it is a known problem, and they have ordered parts to come - they changed the alternator setup in the CC this year to the same as the 307, but forgot to change the fan belts! So they are waiting for the new belts to come in (That's what they tell me!)

Andy, have you taken it into get sorted? or are you just going to live with it?

I just think if I'm paying over £15k for a car, I should get one that doesn't make embarassing noises when I go somewhere... the CC's are head turners, but it shouldn't be for this reason!

I haven't taken it in yet, I am building a list of things for them to do before my warranty runs out in March.

They don't like me much at my local dealer as I imported my car and I also reported them to peugeot UK for failing to fix my faulty brakes after 5 attempts

Will add it to my list - thanks for the info.

Well, Mine went in FINALLY! And they sorted the fan belt problem... Shame about the other things!

They replaced the belt, and two other things but can't remember what they were (sorry).

Strange thing was they didn't even test it to see if it was faulty... They just did the work without question - makes me think it's a known and widespread problem!

it won't bother the dealer - they get paid by peugeot anyway

good point - I only wish they'd take that attitude with my squeeky breaks - They said there's nothing they can do as the pads are no longer made of asbestos...

Strange I didn't have any problems on my last three cars.....
