it would be silly to suggest that people who bought CC's from a UK dealer have anything against imports. after all we could all have bought one too if we wanted to - it's not as if only certain people are allowed them.

i bought mine from a UK dealer. after rejecting it (which would have probably involved a very long legal fight if it was imported) i was given the option of a full cash refund. i was very much aware that i could have got one from trade sales or motorpoint at that time as they were in stock but i took another one from a dealer giving up the chance of saving £2-3k.

it's all a matter of personal preference.

i bought my 2.0 SE from a peugeot dealer, who had imported the car - get two years warranty only, but saved £2000 on the list price, and only had to wait a week :-)

but - it is registered in their name for the first year....i dont see this as too much of a downside, considering the money i saved, and in 3 years time when i have paid for the car i know i will have at least 200,000 miles, so resale value will be errrrrrrr minimal anyway lol

My local Peugeot dealer treat my import with the same level of care as they treat their own (!) and the warranty is fully honoured.

I had 13 grand to spend so my choices were - an import or wait a year to buy a 2nd hand one (I was 3.5k short of affording one from Peugeot UK).

So I bought my import - ok, I'm second owner but it only had 1.5 miles on the clock and has been fantastic :) My best buy last year. And this will be the only car I keep for longer than 2 years (read 5!)

imports?

As long as you recognise that a degree of 'flexibility' required when it comes to delivery dates, then importing is to be highly recommended.

I'm getting my import from www.import.motorpage.com. They initially said end Sept delivery but have been told they are getting the 1.6 cc next week, fingers crossed! Give them a try.

Hiya Paul, how are you? Well, fingers crossed, should have it next week!!! Just been on the phone to them and they say it will arrive on Tuesday so I can go collect it Friday or Saturday. :D

The Tigra is fantastic and will be so sad to see her go, but luckily she is staying in our family so can keep an eye on her!! She has been an excellent car, I had her for 3 years! So now looking forward to getting my 206, got a new plate lined up already too!! Excited or what!

Take care
Vivi :P :D
