1st car - no problems with roof, just a long list of other faults..

Replacement car - 12 days old - leaks.....

Stu, what's the build date of your new one? What are the problems you have?

I'm getting my first in 2 days, so keen to know what I should look for so I can check and point out when I collect.

1st one built October, list of electrical failures.

2nd one brand new.

When you get your car, open and close the roof a couple of times, then throw a bucket of water over it (roof shut!!!) and see what happens

Mine didn't leak in rain nor when I washed it... it only leaked afterwards when water had sat in the rubber recess across the windscreen for a bit and then seeped inside the seals above the passenger windows. So when I braked I got a shower from around the roof clips.

I got some silicon grease (here I go again, sorry all) and smeared it on the rubber and it's completely cured, perfect for weeks now! You can get it from photography specialists (used to waterproof cameras). I DIDN'T USE SILICON SEALANT!

Update...

Car has been back to dealers today and has been fixed.

They said there has been a recent update and staff have received training about fixing leaking seals. The Service Manager said he has done his own CC and had no further leaks. The job takes about 1 hour. I am not technical so I have no idea what they did.

Rob,

I had mine fixed after the master tech had been on a course and brought back a manual. Not sure if its the same leak, mine was on the drivers side and resulted in a lap full of water when you braked or cornered. Think I told you what they were going to do and you were sceptical but its been okay through over a month of constant rain so I'm convinced! They took out the current seals, removed some foam packing, reapplied sealant and then put the seals back in. They would have put the originals back in but they were damaged when they were taken off so I got new ones.

Just tell them to look in the training manual, there's a section in there about fixing leaks, they specifically mention a motion leak that occurs on braking. I can give you the name of a well trained monkey at my dealership if it helps!

I have ordered time at my dealer to fix the leak, wich is the same as Rachel has. When I talked with them at the phone i got the feeling that they never had worked with the 206cc (there arent sold som many cc's here). So i got in contact with the chief mecanic at Peugeot Norway. He said that he has informations about the reperation that the dealers dont have, and that he will assist the dealers with the reperation.
After this im a bit more optimistic, I like that the dealer has the chief mecanic looking over their shoulder..

don't be too optimistic bergen. my CC had the same problem as Rachel and it will officially be rejected on friday.
