Hi there,
Can anyone tell me where their temperature gauge usually sits mostly and also where it sits on a warmer sort of day. Thanks!

mine sit a little below 90c... on hot day 30+c it just went a little over 90c.
for the coolant temp (the one below the revs counter), mine is the auto so it doesnt have the oil temp guage.

Thanks guys, was just enquiring as Ive only just had the car a few days and was just curious as mine was sitting around 90 but as I was in a bit of traffic on saturday and the weather was a bit warm it was creeping over 90 and nearer to the next black line then after that was the overheat area in the red so I didnt want that to happen! Take Care!

It is normal (as told by the master technician) for the temperature to go past 90 and move up to the black line just before the red zone especially when the car is in traffic or stopping at the lights.
Once the car is in motion, the needle will gone back down to the 90. My car (1.6 auto) did the same thing as well but it had never gone into the red zone. If you are really worry, then one thing you can do is to switch on the air-cond, with the air-cond 'on', it starts to vacumn in cold air from outside and hence it helps to cool down the engine as well.

cheers

Wilsonson thanks so much for your answer to my question. What you explains sounds exactly right and I worry no more! My temp sits around 90 and increased accordingly as I was sitting in traffice and it was rather a hot day in sydney on saturday! Youve put me at ease, and like I said previously i was just curious as Id never had a car where the temp gauge sits sort of that high.
Thanks for your time and help. Cheers! ;)
