Some help neede please. I have just picked up my brand new 206cc 2.0se import. However, the handbook did not come with the car and motorpoint told me they would forward it asap but wouldnt be for about 1-2 weeks so obviously there are a few things i need a little help with.
firstly, i know i is probabaly obvious, but how to i lower the roof? is it just undoing the catches to the roof and holding the button down or is there more to it?
what should i do about running in the engine? some people have told me to keep under 4000 revs for the first 1000 miles whereas when i bought my last new car (a ford) they told me not to worry about that and just make sure i use the brakes gently for the first few hunderd miles.
many thanks for any help you can provide.
Missing handbook.....

To put the roof down you must make sure the screen in the boot is pulled across otherwise it won't work! Then unclip the 2 catches and hit the button!
I don't think you will need to run in the engine as you will find you don't need too on new cars anymore.
The button next to hazard lights are on the new spec cars and are something to do with central locking I think.
Hope that helps in the mean time while someone with more technical answers replies!

Paul, I got mine from Motorpoint in December and still don't have my books! That just added to the excitement about finding out what all the buttons do! Really useful tip -the 2 buttons by the digital display switch it from French to English and km to miles!
I called Motorpoint and they said the manuals are on back order & it could be 3-4 weeks. Take a mo and read "how to put your roof up/down MANUALLY" on the main part of this site, they're useful & tell you what cords to pull etc. Good luck!

thanks for the help guys.
i called motorpoint early january and they said they had some cc's coming in towards the end of feb. this batch was an order from ages ago but peugeot recalled lots of cars due to faulty roofs, and any cars already in production were held back so the roofs could be sorted. those cars originally ordered were going to take over 6 months after the date they were supposed to arrive and many of those cars were meant for company car drivers who had optted out. they didnt want to wait for the cc's to come in so took different cars instead. the cc's like mine were still due to come in at some point but were not ordered for a spcific person. when i called there was one left in silver and i put my deposit on it right away.

derby. they told me at the time they had quite a few coming over but there was only 1 se left, all the others were s's.
i got the call last tuesday that mine was in the country and went and picked it up on tuesday this week.
they told me the week before that they had 40 of them in europe waiting for shipping so maybe yours is still there and awaiting transport.
when you pick it up make sure you check the car thoroughly as mine had a little dink by the door, it hardly notices but they agreed to pay for the damage. also you will not get an owners manual for a few weeks so have a look on this website for instructions about the roof and air con etc.
