Once again I ask does "rejection" exist in Australia for unhappy Peugeot customers and if it does what does it entail!
Surely someone knows something about it!

Rejection exists everywhere.... where there are consumer rights... and I recomend you to sit down and stydy these. I had to do that and you can read about the agreement I made with my dealer in another post posted today.
Good luck, and hope you get some better replies from the aussies :D

Moschino,

I don't know about rejecting a car specifically, and as far as I know you're the first Aussie on here to be contemplating it.

Bergen is right - I think the first port of call is have a search on the net for consumer rights, perhaps via the ACCC (Aust. Competition and Consumer Commission) and see if they have any info. In general, I understand that the consumer has the right to receive their money back for something purchased if it is faulty. Exactly what the strict definition is of "faulty", and what criteria and conditions there are relating to this, I don't know.

Sorry I've not been more helpful than that.

Thanks Matt etc for your help. I was only enquiring if there were some specifics regarding rejection by peugeot as i was quite surprised when I read a lot of the posts from all over the world that many people had rejected their cars. That clears things up! Thanks

I think we also need to keep things in perspective - lemons exist for all cars and I know of many examples for Fords and Holden's here in Oz. Rjection can be a drawn out issue, but there are laws there to protect the consumer.

Yes definitely - Frosty is right. A forum like this is more likely to have people on it who have problems with their cars, because many of them went searching the internet for an answer to a problem in the first place, wheras those without problems don't have to! :D

If you really are at the point of rejection, Moschino, have a look at the posts by the people on here that did reject theirs, and I'm sure you'll find valuable info!!!
