I've just started getting a rattle that sounds as if it's coming from where my feet are. It comes more when I accelerate, probably my wheels or something loose! Oops!

I get a sound at the front left that sounds like a loose washer or something and also a clunking under my feet that sounds like the exaust bracket banging on something... it only happens when I go over bumps in the road.

Hi Juan,

i've got the same noise problem as you, but now it's fixed. Bear in mind, mine is a right-hand drive and the noise is coming from the left hand shocks. The noise is caused by gas leaking from the shocks when you are travelling on bumpy roads or even going over a speed hump. This problem is common in the 206 range. Peugeot fixed the problem by replacing the insert of the shocks and waa laa no more noise. Also, ask them to check the anti-roll bar, mine was loose on the left hand side when they were examing my suspensions.

cheers

Wil

Well... noises are back!!! had to take it to dealer again!!! the one in the back is comming from the boot, i had to ride inside it so i could find it, that was what i would call a hell of a trip, the one in the front is still there, only hear it on bumpy roads when i drive slow...

With the boot open or closed?

It would actually be illegal in the UK - I wonder whether you could coax a monkey in there...

with the boot closed, when i had it open it didn´t have any rattles, but when i closed it, they appear, i guess it is illegal here too, since they may think somebody is kidnapping you (touch wood) :D
