Looking at the hoops I got I frankly think it will be a tall order to make them here and make it worth everyone's while. I'm strongly tending to looking at import, like I did with mine.

What we really need is clear expressions of interests from those that want them. In turn I'll work with Derek to see what sort of a deal we can get. For planning purposes I wouldn't expect any change from A$500 for the pair.

It would be nice to make them locally but I think the setup costs will kill it as I don't expect the demand to be "high". Importing them guarantees quality as well.

Thanks R6, I'll leave this topic open until Sunday then sum the definites and see what sort of deal I can get through Derek.

Ok that's three. As mentioned will wait till Sunday and then see what I can do. Unfortunately we won't get a lot of econom,y on postage as we're scattered all over the country. Anyway, we'll see what we can do.

frosty,

just saw your post as i don't get online much while my laptop is in laptop hospital

if you have decent demand from oz, then it would probably be best to also open up orders to the uk, and possibly europe (?) again. that way we can get another bulk order in and get the best possible price.

i don't know what pstage costs in oz internally, but it may also be better to post the hoops to a single oz address as postage from the uk was £22 i think for one set so it may be cheaper depending on what it costs to forward them on in oz - individual package weight is 1950-2050kg if that helps planning.

Derek, looks like there's demand here for three to four sets. See how demand is over there and let me know whether you think it worth pursuing. We can look at the postage options if this progresses. There may be some savings in combining them but we'll have to balance against the work and cost to redistribute - may not be worth it.

frosty,

i'll stick a post in the discussion section and see what interest there is. i think as long as i get an order for 8 sets then the price should be ok.

cheers

Derek, at the moment 3 definites - R6, YPWPAT and Kirk. I wouldn't be surprised if Trung will want a set, I'll give him a call. You decide a cutoff date and we'll take it from there.

frosty,

i would say a cut off date is at least 7 days away. i don't want to go ahead with the order until i have my laptop back - still waiting on the new hard drive.

I'd be happy to buy them for you and hold them for say 1-2 months getting the benefit of a bulk order. If you decide at 1-2 months you don't want them, I'm sure I can off-load them to my Pug dealer to use as a display in their showroom. It's the least I can do for all you've done for me.

I'll line up interest with the dealer and then the option will be yours.

How's that sound?

Frosty,

Hoops are nice but I just can't see myself paying AUS $500.00 for two pieces of metal. Mind you, it looks great on the CC.
The lexus lights for me was the best decision so far (I'm sure you agree too).

I'm seriously thinking about a windstop. Its more practical & also more useful than the hoops.

One question I need to ask you is. Will I be using the windstop much during summer? (from your past experience)
