For the past 2 weeks a constant rattle behind behind me has been driving me nuts.
I thought it was the offside rear window, but I got my wife to drive me round, over the bumpiest roads we could find, and discovered that the rattle was coming from just behind the window. ( I was surprised how comfy it is in the back. Also very windy!)
The noise only occured when the roof was down so I felt around all of the areas I could reach, but nothing made a sound. Then I tapped on top of the roof, with the boot in the vertical position and there was the rattle.
Looking around I found a light scratch on the offside roof member and this lined up with the interior roof locking handle. They were rubbing together slightly. I filed about an eigth of an inch off of the alloy handle and that was the end of the noise.
I had a good test drive after and all is now well with the world!
