I have just ordered a 2.0 litre CC I was just wondering what miles per gallon people are getting on a motorway. As I will be doing 350 miles a week on mainly 60-70mph roads.
Regards
Gareth

i was getting 29.4/29.7mpg doing mainly motorway miles but more around the 80/90mph mark - too many unmarked volvo's going around to go any quicker
my last tank up to today gave an average of 32.5mpg but thats because i have been off work the last few days and haven't been on the motorways as much.

I tend to find a best cruise speed for eco fuel consumption is 80mph on the motorway. I tend to get about 32mpg for this.
I have been getting approx. 300 miles to the tank. It seems to cost me £28 a time to fill up. So, I'm quite happy with this even though I used to drive a turbo diesel. That used to give me 510 miles to a £48 tan so really I haven't found the drop from diesel to a 2.0l petrol too punishing.
Worried about clocking up early miles though with all my motorway driving. Had it two weeks and aleady up to 1000 miles! Argh!

Blimey, only had mine 3 weeks and done 1000 miles.
When it was really icy recently and I was laying off the right foot, I was getting 40mpg! Then the weather warms up and my foot goes down, but I still reliably get 300 miles out of a tank (£30), same as my old 1.6 megane but loads more fun )

had mines from 6/12/01 and done 2100 miles - nothing unusual i'm sorry to say. i saved 200 miles while the car was in the garage for 4 days and it is back in again for another 5 or 6 days so in a way i'm happy as i'll save around 300 miles

Rachel,
Meeting went well, i didn't need to shout and they handled things pretty well
We will need to see if the faults are fixed properly but they seem pretty keen to get everything sorted out so I am happy so it looks a bit more promising.
As far as the courtesy car goes, I was only looking for a high spec 307 or 406 but the After Sales Manager has given me his Y reg Rover 75 2.0 V6. Not exactly the right car for someone my age (maybe if i was 30yrs older) but you can't argue over it's class or value.
He also gave me if with a full tank of petrol but i can't promise it will go back that way
I will let you know how things go.

Rachel,
Forgot to say they expect to have my CC until approx the middle of next week, but they won't commit to a specific day so they don't let me down again.
