Does anyone know if the Peugeot wind stops can only be purchased through dealerships? Just wondering if they can be bought directly, putting less money into my undeserving dealer's pocket!

Dealer only I am afraid.

My dealer gave me a voucher for 10% of all accessories & servicing etc when I bought my car so its not a lot but it helps. See if your dealer will do the same.

No such luck.

I asked my dealer about the wind stop - he was amazed at the cost of them, reckoned they should go for about £50. He then suggested I went and bought a set of fishnet tights and made my own.

Hardly encouraged me to order one!!

Rachel,

Having just got a windstop I agree they are expensive. However as it has enabled me to drive round with the roof down even when it was snowing, and be warm, it was well worth the money!

Has anyone done a booze cruise to France and checked out the prices of accessories in French dealers? Next time I see France for a quid in the Sun, I'm gonna go )

European dealers are told by peugeot to not deal with Uk residence. If necessary they will lie and say they are out of stock, etc.
peugeot dont want us shopping over there when they are trying to sell in the UK market.
It's the same with BMW, VW and RENAULT etc
However Citreon and Saab are supposed to be really into it.
Worth a try

Okay, I'm convinced. My car's going into the dealership (again) to have my leak fixed (again) this week, I'll get the windstop ordered then. I've never had a convertible before so can one of you kind people let me know how (and where) it fits onto the car?

Thanks

I wonder if there is a way to bring the windstop with you when you get some (small) passengers in the backseat?? or is it too big??

The windstop fits in the boot.. It is specially shaped to do so..

See http://www.pugsport-gti.co.uk/windstop.htm

I have scanned the instruction sheet
The images on the page are fairly large so be patient.. Thanks

Windstop is an absolute must, looks great and cuts down what little cabin noise there is. Oh yeah, it stops wind too! + you get a bag to put it in.
