Someone know this little device ?
And fit in a vehicule (206 ...)?
Apparently, this is a small device who add some air in the injection system, and, with turbulence, improve combustion.
It is made by a UK company, ecotek, who as this website : http://www.ecotekplc.com
Thx 4 reply.

A group buy of these was organized on Scoobynet (Subaru bulletin board). After they'd been fitted for a few months, nobody managed to get any measurable benefit, although people said "pickup seems smoother", etc.
Interestingly, though, the new shape Imprezas (bug-eyes) have one as standard (it's called a 'tumble valve').

I had one of those on my GTi-6 and it was utter crap with no benefit.
A friend had one fitted to his GTi-6 and again he had no benefit at all.
I have heard that they work but have yet to meet someone who actually confirms this.
They seem the have excellent write-ups from places.
I tried out a £400 device that claims to have done the same on the 206cc called an ENCO fuel economiser, the problem was the word economy was lost forever if you had been stupid enough to buy the thing.
Again they have great testimonials from places.
I think large commercial engines maybe benefit but super-tuned modern Pug engines are pretty well sorted by the manufacturer.
You have to ask yourself this, why doesn't the manufacturers buy the licence for these things/devices if they are so good when they spend millions on tuning trying get push down figures.

This Ecotek thingy does actually have some scientific sound engineering sense behind it, but I must admit exteme sceptisism with these things. They do offer a money back guarentee too, so it may be worth trying it yourself to totally conclude if its useless or not. I reckon that it may make a small difference, but it will no doubt vary from car to car. For example the 2.0 Gti engine is a 'new' design where as the 1.1 & 1.4 petrols has been around in Pugs since '88.
Some people claim to get 100 miles + extra to a tank of fuel and extreme benefits. Saying that, other than one 206 owner who has left similar amazing feedback on a forum like this, all other positives I have read were on the Ecotek website.
Still, being an optimist I will probably give it a go on my 1.4 SW just to see for myself. If it betters my 38mpg and I can actually break the 390 miles to a tank record I may believe it works, but until I see the evidence in MY CAR, I won't beleive it!
