Met up with a friend of mine I haven't seen for a while and thought I'd have one over on him when I parked next to his mondeo...

...only to have him showing me around his new TVR.

V.

A chimera, I think. 4.0l, 270bhp, 0-60mph in 4 secs, etc.

But yes, he admitted my car's roof was better than his.

Probably the only car you can buy that will spend more time in the garage than the CC aswell!!!

For the price of a new CC, you could buy a Chimaera or Griff. But you couldn't run it for the same sort of costs:
Drinks oil
Does about 4k miles on the (fat, expensive) rear tyres
Servicing is v. regular (6k miles?)
Servicing is v. expensive (~£500 for a normal service, but quite easy to get to a few grand if bits need replacing)
Insurance...
