The cooling fan didn't kick in at 95.
So I put the AC (what I usually do to keep the engine cool), but that didn't help too.
Traced the wiring and found everything ok, Ignition at ON position 12v present at the relays.
Found that the 0v signal to the relays weren't coming thru, which means a problem at the AC / Coolant temp unit.
It was getting late to diagnose, so I cut the 0v signal wire to the high speed relay (at the relay connector) and sheered a bit of the ground wire going to the motor and bridged, so there will be 0v all the time when the ignition is on ON. Tested. The fan cuts out once the ignition key is removed.
Removed the low speed relay.
There's no AC gas in the system to cool. But I think whether there's gas or not when the climate control is switched on, the engine cooling fan must come on. Since I haven't ever tried it without gas, I do not know for certain.
Anyway. Now I can move the car. So can go and fill AC gas, then put everything back as it is and check.
In this condition, I managed to run the engine continuously without temperature rising above 75.
Somehow that sound from the intake follower's never went away.
The engine sounds really cool now when throttled. I didn't raise over 3000 rpm. Just for safety
Couldn't have done without you nice people.
