Hi all,
I've ready a few posts on this error already but there's so many different possibilities of what it can be so I'm starting from square one and it might be something I've done.
The car is a 55 plate 1.6cc with 52k on the clock.
Cut a long one short, my petrol cap key hole was always really stiff with the key so I sprayed a sh*t load of 'Plus-GAS' in there to losen things up. That was Sunday evening. I didn't use the car all day yesterday but when I started it up this mooring I got the Anti-Pollution error on the center screen and a yellow engine management light on the clocks.
At first I thought it was something to do with pollen filters etc but half way to work it sunk in that it's probably an emissions thing. I suppose my question is, are these cars so sensitive that a good long squirt of Plus-gas could effect the emissions enough to give me this error?
I drove it for 18 miles to work with no issues at all and I intend to drive it back home tonight.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Gaz

Re: Anti-pollution error and yellow engine management
I think the plus-gas is a coincidence. The thing to do is to get the code(s) read, preferably with Peugeot Planet, to get an idea what the problem may be.
Btw, the best thing for lubricating car locks is graphite powder.

Thanks Ian,
Graphite powder ey? Not heard that one before. I'll give it a go.
I have one of those OBCD diagnostic jobbies so I'll plug that in first to see what it comes up with. I used it to diagnose a bad coil pack on my old fiat stilo and it worked a treat.
I'll update here once I know. If it keeps going I might leave it till weekend when I will have more daylight hours spare.
Cheers

Re: Anti-pollution error and yellow engine management
Morning all,
Got in the car to leave from work last night and the error was no more. Engine management light was off also. This morning.. same thing. No errors at all.
Strange.
I'm going to change the plugs at the weekend anyway and next time I fill up I'll use some top notch glug.
Cheers
