Roof won't go down :(

I've seen the detailed roof operation video, but I don't really understand it. I bought a used Peugeot 206 CC 2001 mod. And I knew the roof didn't work, but I thought i would be able to fix it

I know how to take the roof down manually, but if I try to press the roof button nothing happens. All I know is that when I take down the roof manually, a sensor is beeping while I'm driving. Is there a way to fix that? Except from that, the parcel shelf is fastened by a hook thingy, so that not working may be a main problem? I seriously have no idea. I've read countless posts on the forum. Can someone please explain a step by step guide for what to look for to fix the roof problem?

The beeping is because the roof ECU thinks the roof is not locked in position, and the car is moving. The problem is probably one or more of the microswitches not working correctly. I would identify every switch and test it for correct operation, for starters.

The place to start is the roof catch switches at the top of the windscreen pillars. If the roof ecu does not think they are open, it will not allow the roof to move.
