Hi All,
Just one small question, I have a 2003 1.6 CC and for the life of me cannot find the coolant bleed valve that I've been told is somewhere towards the front of the engine. I've located the rear valve behind the engine going to the heater matrix. Does the system bleed itself from the radiator to the filler bottle?
Work carried out so far comprises:
Cam belt, water pump etc.
Wheel bearing o/s
Suspension arm, gaiters etc.
Comm 2000 unit
4 new tyres
New catalytic converter
New battery
Bosch spark plugs
Brighter light bulbs (Lucas +150%)
New rear lamp units. etc. etc.
I think that's about it, apart from water getting in via badly fitting rubbers ( rear quarter light)
Hope that's it for a while!
Thanks in advance, Martin

Re: Coolant
There it two one one the pipe going to the heater matrix and one above the gearbox on the thermostat housing. I have some air in my heater matrix that makes a knocking noise behind the steering wheel. Keep trying to bleed it but its taking a while.

Re: Coolant
Its a metal Allen key bolt type (brass coloured I think) and not plastic like the one on the bulkhead
