too tired to investigate today but needs looking at asap...
Car is a 2002 206CC.
Went for a drive yesterday and at slow speed I thought I heard some knocking from the offside rear quarter area.
Forgot about it after a long day fishing.
Went for a drive today and the noise was worse.
Clues: it doesn't happen in reverse
it seems to be a knock every revolution
it happens below 30
it is reminiscent of a drive shaft universal coupling bearing failure
but why does it sound as if it emanates from offside rear wheel!
If you missed the Grand National you could have an each way bet on this!
At really low speed it really clonks every revolution...
-I will post more when I jack it up and try and replicate conditions
and then take the wheel off/look for obvious play
if I don't find it at the rear I will check front for drive shaft issues...
Cheers for any help!

Have you taken the wheel off to see if there is any sign of parts touching? Does should a bit like the rear trailing arm may be worn and moving in the wrong way. Does that wheel look more angled than the other?

all sorted
it was a misaligned rear caliper, tight at one spot every revolution.
Removing the caliper, checking the free spin, checking the pads and disk, reassembling and a bit of levering at the gap eventually solved the issue.
I will invest in new rear disks and pads in the future.
-glad I had a go. It was nice to get the tools out ...
Wheels seem fine re: camber angle
I spotted a blue connector under the car jst about mid back axle... what's it for anyone???
