206cc No gears

Post by Wen64 »

Hi ..My gear linkage has broken the bit that connects to the gear changer ..all i managed to pick up off the road was a washer ! ..i have no gears at all the gear stick is floppy ..do i need to replace the whole linkage on the car ? ..also i presume it was a nut /split pin that held it all in place ..well thats gone theres nothing to hold it on ..where do i get the replacement nut/split pins from ..also can you just buy the seperate bush as thats rubbish as well ...its a 2001 206cc 2litre ..Thanks in advance :love-thx:

The best thing would be to study the parts diagram for that section of your car. There was a design change and the only way to know which is yours is by the VIN.

If you post the last eight digits of your VIN I'll put up the relevant one.

Think you have 3 rods on that gearbox. Sounds like one has dropped off
