Re: diagbox and pp2000
On the VMWare "menu bar" at the top of the page, click "Player".
Hover the cursor over "Removable Devices" and check whether an entry "USB Device 103a:f00" (or something similar) appears. If it does, check whether there is a tick in front of it. If not, hover over it, click "Connect (Disconnect from Host)", say ok to the information panel which opens, and you will be good to go.
If the USB device entry is not present, you have not loaded the driver correctly. In the VM (not in Windows 10), click Start/Control Panel/Add-or-Remove Programs and uninstall PP2000. Then re-install Planet, taking care to plug in the interface when prompted (not before), which will allow the installer to access the driver from the Planet disk.

It would be helpful if you explained what you did to get there.
Have you tried rebooting the computer?

Re: diagbox and pp2000
It is possible that the connector into the car monitoring socket is not seated correctly. Sometimes they are very stiff. I suggest you try again.
It could also be a problem in one of the other connectors, so try them all.

Oh, I missed that bit - Gazza is correct; you should not update from the internet. Now you will have to uninstall Planet and re-install, without updating.gazza82 wrote:I was warned NOT to try updating it from the internet ...

All the update will do is blacklist the vin number of the car so the chinese device wont be able to communicate with the car. Time to start again and dont have it connected to the internet.

Re: diagbox and pp2000
So I only need to remove/uninstall PP2000 from the control panel menu inside the VM?
