Its free for non-commercial use. If you were to Google VMWare Player (hint) you would get https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/fre ... layer/12_0

Having problem with VM player, tried to just reformat a 32-bit laptop and installed windows XP. Unfortunately, PP2000 software bought still having trouble installing. You might have additional thoughts on the matter. TIA

The message is telling you that the installer has detected a more recent version of PP already on your laptop. Assuming you have not somehow done this, I am guessing that you have a copy of Diagbox installed. Diagbox contains a cut-down version of PP, and I surmise it is that which the installer has detected. For that reason, you cannot have PP (stand-alone) and Diagbox installed under the same OS.

I did think that the installer, if running in the VM, would not see diagbox in the main OS, but perhaps it does.

I do not know whether Diagbox's cut-down Planet is good enough, but I do know that Planet (stand-alone) is exactly what is needed for your 206CC.

I would uninstall Diagbox - you should then get Planet to install without trouble.

VMWare's download site will have a free player

You will need an XP licence with the Win7/VMWare combo too.

Im still trying to reinstall the pp2000, haven't gone to using it. Will it be plugged in on a slot near the BSI?

After installation, when clicking the desktop icon to authenticate, do I already need to plug in the connector to the laptop USB and BSI EOBD port?

The program wont run unless the tool is plugged into the laptop, it doesnt have to be plugged into the car though.

You are just doing something wrong. Delete your previous attempt from the hard disk and start again.

When installing into a VM, plug the cable in after starting the Planet installation, when it asks for it.

Click Peugeot Planet Office. It is the front end for Planet.

I got my copy of pp2000 from the peugeotforums site but not sure if it is still there (on an external downlaod server).

Note: I tried to install the pp2000 software that came with my lexia cables and my virus checker went into hyperdrive!!
