Hello All,
Im Rhaps, I recently had to get myself a UK car as I originally come from the continent and live and work in Devon. Which is funny when you observe me driving as I am whacking the door constantly with my right hand for no apparent reason! (as I want to change gears EU style!)
I was very lucky to bump into a silvery 2004 206cc Alure 2.0 with a milage of 66k. Its my 3rd car, as my first was a 205 1.4 Generation and I had to switch from a Pug to a Hyundai Getz 1.1 you didn't want to be found dead in. The 206cc is also my first convertable. I might consider some tweaking on the car as everything is still factory standard.
I like to post a brief introduction about myself as I found this forum to be very useful in the two days I considered and eventually bought my 206cc. I will post every now and again with mostly questions rather than answers for I am a bit of a car dunce.
My first tasks are to change the brake discs/pads and go on a conquest for a better radio as I am not happy with a 10w x 4 when I got used to 25w x4!
Hello: The steering wheel is on the wrong side!

Hi and welcome. I have a left hand drive car and have sometimes gone to get in the wrong side door.
Cheers Col.

Re: Hello: The steering wheel is on the wrong side!
When manufacturers create left and right hand drive versions of vehicles i've always found it strange that all the controls stay the same including the pedals, you'd think for convenience of where items are located they would reverse everything....stalks and pedals included and yes I know the brake servo in the engine bay is the biggest problem to get round, I hit this snag when I did my 205 turbo conversion.

Blimey Slo that would be really hard to drive. I have enough trouble riding a british bike having ridden modern Jap stuff (gear lever & rear brake pedal are swapped)
Cheers Col.

I find this a ludicrous situation. I cannot post a question despite searching for " the relevant button " as advised by the faq help section. Unless I am completely dim "it aint there" There seems to be no other way of contacting for advice on this but to piggyback another post & hope someone can help. So HELP !
