Can someone please identify a part under the bonnet??!!...

Hi. While checking the oil I just found a tube hanging on by a thread near the bottom of the front of the bonnet area... Could someone please identify it for me in the pic as
a) as you can see, I'm not much of a mechanic and
b) it might mean an expensive repair so I can brace myself in advance.

Oil pressure switch connector? Hanging on by one last thread of cable? If it is, then fix it quick before it parts completely - usually on a cold windy night, miles from nowhere.
