Feck!! Got replacement switches and went out tonight to change them over. No difference :censored: and now no bongs either

Quick question too - realised that the switch I thought was duff actually isn't. It clicks away! However when it is fitted it won't. On further inspection, it seems that the positioning of the switch means the 'arm' for the switch is too close to the contact, and therefore isn't releasing the button enough to allow it to click. Surely it shouldn't be 'closed' initially and become 'open' when the roof is operated?

Could someone please check the operation/position of this on their own car to confirm for me please?
I'm wondering now if the bracket it is adjacent to is in the wrong position (thereby closing the switch)?

Any advice, suggestions or confirmation would be greatly appreciated

If I'd paid more attention to my own pic I might have noticed this potential issue, or perhaps I would have just thought it was broken. But you can clearly see the pressure on the button ......

If the two switches are related to the shelf position, maybe one of them is closed and one open normally?

Still no bongs, but strangely when the latches are open the windows work!
Usually the latches need to be closed for this to happen.

If your windows work with either of the latches open then you got a duff latch switch
