Ok mate, thanks. And are those three switches all linked together on that one piece of loom? So they come as a 'set' and not individually?

Another shameless picture theft in the name of reference, in no way am I promoting the name though.

Where are you btw?

 unfortunately! How far would you need to travel?

I might try and get the software myself - then you could check remotely 8)

Was also looking at one of these, but maybe not worth it -

forget about diagbox, pp2k is what you want and yes its worth it if you plan on keeping the car and/or having peugeots later on, you can even use it to diag other peoples cars for pocket money

So both is best? PP first I suppose, under the circumstances!
I take it a standard obd2 cable isn't sufficient for this?

Forget all about diagbox, pp2k is what you want, its the only thing that can access the roof ecu and manipulate any part of the car, it can run anything or operate anything so you can see if something specific works or not without having to have the engine running or be driving it to test something. Plus it does live data too. For any faulty peugeot its a must have but only if you plan on keeping it.

I have something similar for another car.
You'd recommend the kit in your link then? There's a guy fairly local who has it apparently, though hasn't used it for some time. Might try and get him to test before he heads off for Easter. Though I could order my own in the meantime.

Got said kit its same as what the main dealers use in their service centers, only a chinese copy.

It will only work on peugeots and citroens

I very much doubt it will be the switch but its a possibility, is there any cc's in a scrapyard near you? Might be worth getting a spare ecu or I could send you one thats good?

Oh please let it be the switch

Will an Ecu need programmed / PP2000 to install to car?

No just to enable it or clear codes, other than that its plug and play, the roof ecu also controls the windows too.

Thanks pal. Windows are working ok so hopefully it's not that, but if it turns out the Ecu is suspect then I'll certainly take you up on the offer, even to test
