Must remember to check the fluid level too when I get that far.

Do the relays just pull straight out, or are there clips somewhere to be aware of?

Hard to capture on camera, but the fluid looks ok. Above the + mark.

That's stopped the beeping, though no difference to roof operation. After I get the bong from roof latches I get the beeping when I operate the roof button. Hopefully PP will throw some light on it.
In the meantime, 3 micro switches in the back you say?

Your welcome, the three on the black rail, its got a black plastic shield covering it up but you can see behind it.
It tells the ecu when the roof is up,down and the position of the parcel shelf.

Yes Slo, I really appreciate it.
The black rail - is that behind the shield where the cord is for the manual operation of the shelf?

That cord goes directly to where the 3 switches are

Re: Mixture of usual issues......
Ok. So had a quick look at the switches, and think one of them is duff. I know the 'click' test isn't entirely accurate, but on this occasion two of the switches make a noise but the other does not. Question is, how do I fix or test it?
The three switches form a triangle - the one on the top is the quiet one! This is due to orientation of the pic. The duff switch in reality is the closest to the bracket / rear of the car.

Black and red detects when the roof is in the boot the other two are parcel shelf position, the black and red one usually goes bad dont know why, your cheapest option is a scrapyard but most of them wont split the roof so might be best to take a screwdriver along, remove them and say its a bit of wiring from somewhere else, its only a short loom with a white plug on the end but these switches are nearly 100 quid each from your main stealer

So no repair option then
Is there any way of checking physically that it's at fault for sure? Or is that a PP job?

Multimeter on the wires is about all you can do really, and no repair option as they are sealed tiny little buggers that disintegrate when you try to open them.
