heater problems
Hi guys, I am a recent new owner of a 206cc 1.6 petrol, the heater in the car seems to take an age to warm up
I have checked that the thermostat is ok and that there is actually water in the car lol but I am at a loss as to why it takes so long to warm up, any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Re: heater problems
How fast does the temp gauge rise compared to the air out of the ducts?
Mine takes quite a while to get some heat coming through, but then again its quite a bit cooler driving and the temp gauge does not rise that fast.

Re: heater problems
Did your check reveal whether the thermostat was not closing fully when the engine cooled down? They can fail that way, which means that it takes ages to warm up (because the engine is being overcooled) but the pipe from the thermostat feels warm, so people think "It's open - that's ok".traceyannsummers wrote:Hi guys, I am a recent new owner of a 206cc 1.6 petrol, the heater in the car seems to take an age to warm upI have checked that the thermostat is ok and that there is actually water in the car lol but I am at a loss as to why it takes so long to warm up, any advice would be appreciated, thanks
