**Drivers & Passenger door glass. 206 Convertible**

Post by Covbandit »

Looking at my Daughters 206 convertible over Christmas, quick clean etc....

The top corners of the side windows do not seal too well and it appears the passenger door in particular has dropped / moved. This now doesn't give the best seal as you would expect but being a Jaguar Mech over the last *:?!! years, on some later stuff they have done (XK both models & F-type) as you open the door the glass moves about 10mm down and on closing the door the window slides back up again to give you the best seal possible.

I have tried holding the window switch up and down to get a click (that's how you reset Jags) but find it still does not move when opening the door .

Was this ever something Peugeot did or am I doing something wrong and just need to reset the hinge and buy new seals??

The door glass stays up on 206cc when you open the door.
Probably worth trying to re align door and glass.
Cheers Col.

Its very easy to align the door glasses they are adjusted by a worm drive for fine adjustment however you will need a female torx bit to adjust them

Go to http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-206/. Then choose bodywork/side structure/front door glass/adjustment door glass cabriolet.

If the rear of the door has dropped, pack out the lower hinge bracket where it attaches to the door. I used a spacer cut from a washing liquid bottle - it's quite thick, dense and rustproof.

Some of the 206cc manuals do describe the door glass moving down as the door is opened, but the cars do not have the feature, and manuals for later models deleted that text. Must have been a refinement too far.
