Key fob battery low.

Post by mark farrier »

Had a few problems locking/unlocking car recently with remote......very random.
However, guessed battery in key fob needed replacing. Had lasted over 2 years.
Saturday, when using car had same problem. Eventually worked. Got in.
Displayed on central display unit (the one that shows the time, temp.etc..) on the
dashboard was KEY BATTERY LOW.
How clever is that !!!!!!!
Just thought you all might want to know as I've not seen it covered in any topics
elsewhere, and had it not caught my eye, as it wasn't displayed for long I would be
none the wiser.
Battery replaced....no problems.
However Timpson's charged £9.95. I guess they thought looking at me...Heel pay it !!!

Yes, I like this feature. Gives you time to get a new battery before the old one goes completely dead and loses its memory. Don't forget your spare key battery won't last forever either.

I didn't know it was there Ron.....nothing in driver's handbook/manual so only noticed
by chance. Is there an ejector seat ?

It sometimes comes up in French which has had some British owners scratching their heads - "pile plip usagee" - battery remote control locking device worn.

I haven't noticed an ejector seat Mark but, if there is, I have no doubt that my grandchildren will find it one day.

Wouldn't worry about the ejector seat handle, like most other 206's sparkling features it will probably be faulty
