So as the hot weather is about us, I've found out that the cooling fan doesn't come on when the temperature rises.
So looking at the forum I've found the problem.
I started with the two green relays that sit in the enclosed box to the left of the fan. I pulled the first one out to find a small amount of green corrosion to the spades, so on further inspection the second relay was the same, then to my horror I found one of the wires completely corroded and not even in the terminal block.
My question is do I simply go to the scrap yard and find the terminal block and cut it off and crimp it to to the wires I still have? Or is it a new loom
I have one worried wife now as she thinks her car is falling apart

You could get one from a scrap yard or you could rewire the one you have now.

Disconnect the battery ... safer as some circuits use more than one fuse!

Re: Cooling fan not comming on
Just be methodical, it is simple enough. I always open the bonnet first.
Method for disconnecting the battery:
1.Before disconnecting the battery, turn off all accessories and lights, closing all the doors and unplugging any kind of diagnostic tool. The drivers side window has to be kept open .
2.Turn off the ignition and take out the key then disconnect the battery after an interval of 3 minutes.
3.The BSI needs to go into to Sleep mode or Active Economy mode, during which nothing in the vehicle should be operating. Even the bonnet should not be opened at that time as it can ‘wake up’ the BSI if the vehicle has got an alarm installed. For batteries under the bonnet, the bonnet should be opened and left up before allowing the BSI to go into Sleep Mode. During this 3 minute interval, use of any remote control central locking gadgets for other vehicles should be avoided in the vicinity of the concerned vehicle.
Method for connecting the battery:
The following procedure is for reinstalling the battery connection unless told otherwise by Peugeot or Product service. Failure to follow this procedure may result in damage to the BSI’s embedded software during reconnection.
1.All the doors have to be closed with the ignition key turned off and the key taken out.
2.Now without opening the doors, reconnect the battery and wait for 10 seconds.
3.Turn on the headlights, turn on the engine and inspect the system’s functioning.

Rewired the relay blocks but still the fan does not work? I'm guessing that this is not just an electrical problem? Where is the cooling temp sensor situated?

Re: Cooling fan not comming on
Right I've found out that my repair does work however it does not kick in till well over 90 degrees, I've looked on the forums and I see that I probably have old coolant in the system as it's a brown colour, is there a guide on here to drain and refill the system? What to try this before looking into the water pump?

Re: Cooling fan not comming on
I wouldn't have thought the cooling fan would come on at temperatures lower than that. I think it comes on if the air-con is switched on though.

Re: Cooling fan not comming on
Is there a bleed point for the engine? I've found the valve type by the bulk head but think there is another for the engine?
