Ruth..Woof....NO ROOF !!!! I must be lucky.....

Post by mark farrier »

What An odd introduction..................
Hope I'm not tempting fate but.....
I visit this forum every week and read horror stories of the roof not working, half up, half down,
had to close manually, RAC called out etc..
Well....I've had my 206CC just over two years, and I have never had a problem with the roof.
For the record my pride and joy is F reg., 1.6., manual with 69K on the clock.
Just wondering how many others are out there problem free ?
I would have to say this is the most fun car I have ever had...it always turns heads and, has been
very cheap to run and very, very reliable.
Off to Swansea this weekend, from Bristol.
Roof will be down.....fingers crossed !!!!!
Is Your roof problem free ?

Only roof prob we had was self inflicted - Think carrier bag caught up in parcel shelf!

The relevant part of the registration for the age is the number bit 03 - as you say 2003 so twelve years old.

The F bit coupled with the next letter i.e. FT tells us that it is a Lincolnshire registration if my memory serves me right. The F bit in older plates would mean 1967-68 as a suffix, or 1988-89 as a prefix as Iain as rightly pointed out. So my question was asked tongue in cheek. My first motorcycle and my first two cars had neither a prefix nor a suffix which rather hints at my age too.

Enjoy your trip to Swansea.

As mentioned get a bit confused with registrations...........and everything else !!!
Rained all the way back from Swansea and had so much rubbish in the boot....shopping
for mother (93 years young) that roof stayed down.
Air show on in Swansea, so when I arrived ended up taking 1 1/2 hours to go final 3 miles.
Glad to get to work on Monday......Never thought I'd say that !!!!
I need to go to church more.
