Just swapped my MX5 for a 206cc It is a 2001 model. I knew the roof didn't work and am prepared to operate it manually until, or if, I get it sorted. Are there any problems with this ? I seem to have managed except working out the little white half round clips in the boot. They do not seem to engage in anything regardless of how I twist and turn them. Can anyone advise me and possibly give me a demonstration. Also any advise on roof fault diagnosis would be gratefully received

There's a section dedicated to Roof ... try searching and reading.

The manual operation is for emergencies so using it regularly won't do the mechanism any good.

Hi Tonycrew,
After you have digested the roof problem posts on here.
Any of the limit switches or pump bits could be at fault. If the system has timed out, only somebody with a PP2000 diagnostic unit will be able to reset it and they can also fault find the roof for you.

If none of the posts are able to help, then I suggest finding somebody local with the kit to aid.

Replacing an MX5 with a 206cc was I good move in my opinion.

Très bien,
Iain.
