ESP/ASR Warning light

Post by Mrs B »

Hi,
I've just bought my first 206cc and the above warning light is on constantly. Is this a serious fault?

Many thanks

Could be many things. Get the fault codes read rather than guess.
Cheers Col.

Hi,

I have just purchased my 206cc and within a day the abs and esp light are illuminated, when I took a look under the car I could see a cable hanging free which I have now worked out is the rear right sensor so I have bolted it back in place, a friend came to clear the code and within moments of him leaving the lights were back??? any suggestions, I was hoping me putting the sensor back would rectify the issue :-(

Thanks

It did say on the diagnostic reader 'rear right abs sensor' so I am guessing a new one is needed

Or broken wiring or damaged reluctor ring.

When the light first appeared I looked under the rear end to see the sensor hanging loose boltless so hoping a replacement will do the trick, does anyone. Know what size bolt holds the rear sensor

Thanks

Get one from a local motorfactor. They will match it using your reg No:
