Window problem when opening roof

Post by Ang1961 »

Hi I am having problems with my 54 plate 1.6 Allure, please can anyone help?

I begin to open the roof and the windows start to drop, the rear right doesn't move at all, the rear left drops half way, then I get the error sound.

Rightly or wrongly I take my finger off the button, the beeping stops and I start to open the roof again.
The rear left window lowers all the way but the rear right stays fully up.

Please can anyone throw any light on the issue?

Many thanks in advance.

Can you lower all the windows using the window switch?
Cheers Col.

Hi Col thanks for the reply.

The back right doesn't open, the other 3 do when using the window switches.

The actual roof itself goes up and down ok apart from the window issues .

Poss faulty window motor. Unless you have access to PP2000 diagnostics, you would need to strip off the panelling to access it for testing
