Hi all
how do you lift a 206cc with a trolley jack to put axle stands under the jacking points front or rear. I cant find anywhere to position a trolley jack head that looks strong enough?
thanks mookev

Always position the jack head or axle stand head under one of the relevant jacking points; the jacking point is the area between the cut-outs on the sill. Use a block of wood between the jack or axle stand and the sill - the block of wood should have a groove cut into it, into which the welded flange of the sill will locate.
Do not attempt to jack the vehicle under the front crossmember, the sump, or any of the suspension components.
I tend to work on the car using two jacks, one each side, if I have to raise both sides at once. Then use 4" x 4" section blocks of wood to provide further light support along the bottom of the sill flange. I tend not to use axle stands as their "footprint" gets in the way of the jacks.

Re: lifting with a trolley jack
You should never go under the car when it is supported by jacks. Jacks should only be used to raise the car high enough to put stands (or other supports) in place, and then to lower the car onto them.
The problem with the 206 is that the only points strong enough to support jacking will be used by the jacks, and there is nowhere else suggested to put stands or other supports.
Does anyone have a solution, please?

You can jack on the subframe where the wishbone anchor points are.

Under your doors you see a ridge of metal. There should be two areas cur out for your jacking points.
