roof not opening. no bong noise to say ready.

Hi all,
partner came to put roof down yesterday undone latches got the musical beeps. Boot cover wasn't over the boot so we pull boot cover over. Tried again undone latchs this time no beeps or no bong saying it's ready to come down nothing happens at all. Roof doesn't even make noise like it's trying not sure what to try first. It's an 03 plate 1.6 Thanks in advance for the assistance. :)

One of the windscreen pillar microswitches may be a bit stcky.

Thanks for reply is it a case of taking the plastics off around door and just testing them then.
