front lambda sensor 2002 s16

hi to check change front lambda sensor on 2002 s16 do i have to get at it from underneath the car ? cant seem to find it from above in the bonnet ? cheers in advance

It's top centre on manifold.

Not easy to get to that one from above or below ... And tend to be tight.

I had to use a breaker bar on the lambda socket first time to get enough leverage .. And that was with the front section out and on the floor next to car. You coukd try plus-gas on the threads for a couple of days to help.

Do you definitely need one .. we were getting lambda errors when the exhaust had a hole and since we fitted a new system, no issues with lambda

If you do get a garage to do it, make sure they fit a BOSCH sensor ... or you'll be forever getting errors ...

thanks all booked into toomeys peugeot for monday also have range rover booked into lookers for service monday gonna be a big ouch i thinks !!
