My 206cc has been off the road for 7 months. I have not started it in that time. The battery is now flat and in preparation for mot I have ordered a new battery from peugeot. Because the battery went flat while still in the car and connected, should I expect problems when I replace it?. Sorry my name is nev and any help would be great. I have also ordered at some cost a new multifunction control unit as I have been plagued by lighting, indicators and airbag faults since buying the 206 18 months ago. Any tips on how I replace this would also help.
Thank you,
Nev

Grandad will be able to quote the correct size battery to make sure the one you ordered is correct.

Re: 206cc Alure Battery
Only if Nev tells us rather more about his car. We don't even know whether it is petrol or diesel, engine size, year, mileage etc. However, as he's ordered from Peugeot he should be alright.
Battery disconnection and reconnection procedures are in the following post - ignore them at your peril!

Most of the faults he's been plagued with could well have been caused by the failing battery. He'll probably find that the new battery cures virtually everything he has experienced.

Re: 206cc Alure Battery
Thank you both for your help and comments. The car uses petrol and is on a 55 plate and has done 57,000 miles. I have not fitted the battery or the com unit yet and hopefully the new battery will cure all of these problems without the need for the com unit. However, because I have not gone through the disconect procedure as I left the battery in last year, will this affect the way I install and power up? I am aware of the BSi and the importance of doing this correctly. Should I find that the lighting faults are still present and need to change the com unit can you point me to a procedure for this?
