hello new to 206cc car, can i change the battery myself ? or does it have to be done by a garage , i have phoned peugeot and they said phone my insurer ????? i have a 4 digit code card but not sure if it is for that . help please

Ensure that you get the correct battery and not the one for the hatchback. You don't tell us anything about your car (eg. year, mileage, engine). Get the right size and 190mm tall one if you have a 1.6 petrol. I got an Exide EA530 which fitted perfectly, performs well, and cost £60.
There are notes in the Owners Handbook too (pages 109 and 125 I think). As a new owner I strongly recommend that you read the Owners Handbook thoroughly front to back. This helps to avoid the self-inflicted problems which can be caused by owners acting in ignorance.

Getting information about your car seems to be difficult doesn't it? OK so its a 2.0, but what year is anybody's guess.
So I'll take a guess that you need an Exide EA640 or similar - 190mm tall. £68.40 from Eurocarparts delivered free.
