hello need a bit of advise here please
i have a peugeot 206 lx auto 1.360cc on my drive has a horn problem and dash display problem shorted radio with casing now horn not working or dash dispay was playing around behind radio when i shorted it out on radio casing changed fuses still noting car starts everything working bar horn and dashboard display . relays not clicking in or out i changed fuse on drivers side as it blue out but were els do i need check .
also it was only working on one side when i was pressing it since my little fidling around no horn or dash radio display

please please help us out m.o.t dew and garage trying to rip me off 550 quid to fix it any advice would be helpfull

Suggest you recheck the fuses under the dash and in the engine bay ... can't help beyond that. Find a local auto electrician as they are generally mobile and usually cheaper than a garage.

update managed to check fuses to day and found horn switch on sterring wheel faulty and its not making any contact when putting pressure by pulling up the top of the horn cover on stereing wheel then pressing horn it works and sounds im thinking its faulty air bag horn switch contacts dont look to good on sterring wheel either removed it to have a look put it back now nothing any clues it has a multy plex system bsi and ecu onboard hard wired system ive been told .all fuses checked and working even horn worked brefly by pulling up on the top of the horn cover  then pressing horn still with the cover forced up

Can you not rebend the contacts

If it's multiplex then the airbag unit clips on ... two rectangular holes at back of steering wheel and you wiggle a screwdriver around to release it. Disconnect battery and leave it for 15-20 mins for airbag system to discharge though before fiddling.

I'm not sure but you may need a new comm2000 unit ... I don't think the contacts are accessible from memory .. (I had the airbag off a few years ago to replace the airbag squib .. this that fires it).
