Boot and roof both wont work
Hi guys, I bought this for my son as his first car a few weeks ago. The roof wasn't working so that wasn't an issue at the time. however, He jammed the boot closed somehow and I am totally stuck as to how I can get it open again. Any advice appreciated it's a 2001 1.6

He IS unlocking the boot by turning the key in the lock anti-clockwise, and then pushing the button isn't he?Gibbi08 wrote:Hi guys, I bought this for my son as his first car a few weeks ago. Some new owners have been known to not follow the procedure correctly.

Re: Boot and roof both wont work
yeah sorry I will add to signature in a minute. It's jammed closed I was trying the key and I think as I tried to force it, the rod popped off. I've removed rear sets tried to pull the cord via the 4" gap to find there is no cord there. Really at a dead end so any suggestions are welcome. The 2nd post in that link that has another link does not work. What do i need to do to get the boot to open backwards, but not take the roof down. I think this is the only way I will get into the boot. Thanks for your time and input guys
