According to buypartsby.co.uk .. apparently they are the same! I would have thought the fronts had a heavier engine to cope with ... but check a few more sites to be sure.

But I can confirm that the lower suspension arms ARE different. The CC uses the GTi version with the metal bushes. Fit standard ones and you are changing them again very soon afterwards. You can easily tell the different .. the GTi ones cost more ... of course they do ...

I was also thinking so.
For sure the front ones who carries 1.1 or 1.4 engines when carrying 1.6 or 2.0 engines will have shorter life span.

Front springs would be different length and tension I'm sure. So if you plan to swap struts you won't be able to just bolt on.

At rear they are normal shocks with torsion bars instead of springs.

Swap your existing CC springs to the new struts or put the 1.1/1.4 shocks in your struts. The 1.4 springs will be too soft and the front will sag too much.

You only mentioned shocks .... you are going to have to find 206 springs for a 2.0 litre cc or hatchback (GTI).

Given all the other threads you have started on this car do you not think you have bought a money-pit?

I bought it for like half its price in Egypt and the spare parts in Egypt are quite very cheap for example I bought a refurbished rear axle with the sensors and the shock absorbers and the brake calipers & disks for $100 and an engine mount for $20.
I've also fixed my roof and serviced it for about $40.
