Hello from Anglesey

Post by Jr71 »

Hi All,
I bought a 2003 206cc last week mot failure, spent all week on it and got it motd today.

Thought I would clean the seals in the roof so turned the key off half way through opening.

I've got the roof up manually. When I open the roof clips I get the bong, windows go down but boot doesn't lift. You can hear the motor running constantly.
I've messed with the white clips but not working.

Any ideas
Cheers Jay

First thing to do with a new car is read the Owners Manual. Never switch off the ignition while the roof is in operation. In fact don't do ANYTHING while the roof is operating e.g. undo a seat belt or adjust any controls.

The roof doesn't know where it is now as you've lost its memory and you need to reset it.

I've put it back up manually. It now beeps when I open the roof clips and the windows go down, but the boot lid doesn't lift up.
Looks like I'm off to the stealers on Monday

Well that was a lesson learned

Never again will it turn the key whilst roof is going up or down. One side of the boot catch was not unlocking to let the boot go up.

Spent all day messing with it. But it taxed tested and on the road.

Just hope it's not peeing down tomoz so I can see how it goes

Cheers Jay

Hi,
I'm no expert on this but you have to make sure the white spring loaded clips in the boot are in the upright position.
I folded my roof up and down a few times manually then moved the clips from manual to automatic and the roof started working again.
It took me all day to figure it out though.

Good luck cheers Jay
