front suspension problem
Hi, for a few months now my cc has been handling bad when turning left as it wants to lose control, at first it was thought that bushes were worn, but then came the possibility it was the rear axle, but today as I was driving my front end has startrd creaking loudly when slowing down to a stop, would that mean it needs new shocks and a few othr bits? Any info would be appreciated.

Re: front suspension problem
Creaking could be the ball joints on the front, of they are worn, or the inner mounting bushes on the wishbones then you will have very poor handling.
Best get them checked and replaced if necessary.

Handling is slighty all over the place at times, had the antiroll bars done earlier this year which made it drive perfect, but obviously it needs as you said. Did jack it up earlier but everything seemed firm and tight. Will defo get it sorted now.

Re: front suspension problem
Make sure if you need to get new track control arms (suspension arms) you get the GTI versions ...
Seems the CC needs these especially the 2.0 engine version or it lunches the main rubber bushes in super-quick time
When you check the suspension check the large rubber bushes for perishing and tears .. we can't find any play, but the arms are definitely moving under acceleration (it twitches to left) and this is probably down to these bushes no longer supporting the car.

Re: front suspension problem
Hi ive got it booked into a garage this weekend, used it this morning, and have noticed aside from the creaking, it slightly knocks as I pull away aswell, seems both the front wheels are dodgey, I have to park on the grass where I live, so going up a low step the drivers wheel knocks as it touchs the step to go up, would this be all the problems mentioned above?

Re: front suspension problem
That would definitely suggest something is moving around.
The garage may need to get something to lever the arm in the mountings to see if they can see movement, but letting the suspension hang under it's own weight it should be possible to see the front mount and what state the rubber is in.

Hi guys, quick update, car in garage, turns out that my drivers side hub Carrier was broken, good job I didnt use the car too much. Will wait to see if it cures all the problems to the dodgey handling.

Re: front suspension problem
Hi, well had hub carrier and control arm replaced, and it sorted the problem out, but unfortunately i have a serious knocking from the front now, took it to a garage, they cant find the problem, but they heard the knock when test driven, the front doesnt seem to take bumps well, so im clueless at whats wrong, my only thought is the passenger shock absorber is broken because the passenger side creaks loudly..... Could this be the problem?:-(
