The rear nearside window in our car has reached the point where it never comes back up under its own steam, always a squeek and stop about 1/4 of the way up - its fine if you give it a bit of a helping hand ! This happened once before and pug told me that they'd greased it up for me at a service ... rather than have to go back to them whats the best way to do this myself? No runners = no obvious place to spray, I haven't got to take the rear seats out and dismantle the rear trim have I ! ?
Just wondered if you got the rear window problem sorted out as our 2003 car has the same problem with both rear windows. Sometimes they go up fairly well but at other times they are slow or stop before getting all the way up. A helping hand usually sorts it but we have got the rear seats and trim out now as just replaced boot lid gas struts and wondered if you had any tips on how to lube the window mechanism while its (almost) exposed.
This is not easy to do without taking the trim out but it can be done. I had to fix a leak on Lisa's car a few months ago which turned out to be one of the weather membranes that cover the motors located in the rear quarter panel
To get to the runners you need to take the back seat base & backs out, then remove the side trims. To get to the motors & mechanism to lubricate it, you need to remove the inner & outer foam sealing membranes.
Its absolutely essential these are put back in and sealed properly or it will leak into the car where the water runs down the glass and into the wing void, especially if you park the car where it leans on an angle. New membranes are not cheap, proper PUG ones are about £12 each and there are 2 on each side
