When you switch on the radio it like it turns itself up to max for a split second then back to normal that is when ignition turns on and off too. Wondering what it could be also I do have the burnt out speaker removed. And it's the jbl upgrade system.

Not 100% sure, but it is possible the blown speaker will do that.

BTW do you have any wiring diagrams for the jbl system? One of the other members on here is after one!

Hmmmm, I'm not audio expert, but I'm wondering if the blown speaker has caused an issue with the amp in the head unit. My next moved would be to swap out the head unit for another (any kind) and test to see if that solves the issue. If it doesnt, then it sounds like electrical interference on the speaker circuits.

My money is on head unit at this time.

So its just the sub's that give the burst of noise? if thats the case, try disconnecting the sub unit and seeing if the burst stops. If it does, i'd start suspecting the amp, as you say.

Hi all amp totally bust which was causing the problem but it was the speaker that blew the amp. So cost me £230 for a full rewire to speakers and ignition also two new rear quarter speakers and brand new head unit. So all in all fixed and removed old radio wiring too.
