So with all roof issues mine has been going on since last summer and still I'm no nearer to sorting it,so the story so far.....
.....Last summer I had a hydraulic hose in the boot split which leaked everywhere and stopped the roof from working, after going to peugeot they wanted £441+vat for a new part to which I politely told them to jog on,I tracked a second hand part down on ebay for £35....happy days.now because I had lost all passion with the car I didn't bother to fit it until last weekend,so a trip to peugeot to get the correct oil and a few hours later an new working roof I would have or so I thought. After fitting every thing and topping the oil, checking the latches in the boot were in the right position and the fluid was good I then went for it With the roof only for it to still not bloody work,I undo the roof latches and no bong but I can here the motor or pump whirring I have looked at the hydraulic fluid and all is good so I'm stumped as to what it is,I also get the continuos beeping now when I have to go out in the car as the boot won't latch shut, have read about micro switches in the windscreen pillars but I can't see them,I love this little car but I'm seriously thinking of calling it a day an moving on...please someone help

I think that you have a big airlock. Try putting the roof up and down manually a few times to purge the air and try again. If that doesn't work, you may have to bleed it at the new hose joint.

The unhooking of the roof latches would create the signal for the "bong" yes.

Have a look here: http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic ... 6&start=15
...and at my post further down on the same page which describes how to get to the microswitches in the latches.

UPDATE.......So I have no idea what has gone on but the bootlid has now locked itself into place so the constant beeping has stopped, when I unhook the roof latches I get the bong but still the roof wont come down and there is now noise from the motor...God knows what is going on.
