206cc vs 207cc

Post by ched999uk »

Been reading lots more on the 206cc and looked at stats for 206cc vs 207cc. It seems the 207cc is worse in most stats. The 207cc is heavier, worse fuel consumption, longer, smaller drivers and passenger space, smaller luggage capacity and worst power to weight but it is faster 0-62 (207cc hdi 10.9sec, 206cc hdi 0-62 11.6sec).

Obviously 207cc is newer and probably better in a crash but they are more expensive. Are they better to drive? I am hoping to test drive a 206cc, all be it a petrol one, soon as local dealer has one :)

Am I missing something with the 207cc vs 206cc?

Cheers

The 207cc is a lovely looking car there is no doubt, but if you buy one with the 1.6 engine and built before mid 2008 you will have problems galore, they are nice driving cars when they are running fine but that's not often!.
If you are going for a 207 make sure its 2008 or newer, preferably HDi, keep away from the early ones.

Thanks for that. Must admit we do want a hdi but the 206 diesels are rare. The only thing going for the 207 is that you don't have to unclip the roof before pressing the open button plus they are newer. By the sound of it I am better sticking to waiting till I can get a 206 hdi.
Thanks
