Hi
I wonder if anyone can help please - my car cut out last night whilst driving at 70mph - everything died including my hazard warning lights - nothing worked at all - very scary as I had my baby in the car also and was in the fast lane of three lanes - with no hard shoulder. Luckily, after turning the key approx. 6-7 times it started absolutely fine. I came straight home - called the AA out - they say there is no problem. Previously the airbag light has come on a couple of times but turning the car off and on seems to rectify this - not sure if its related. If anyone could help I'd be most grateful as I'm scared to pay out £60 for my car to be looked at to be told the same as the aa said - there's nothing wrong - when clearly there is!
Many Thanks in advance

All I can suggest without the other information (GrandadMonkey asked for) is to check your battery and terminal tightness. One of the terminals has a quick release clip and if you've got the wrong sized battery or the clip is loose it could cause the situation you described.
Rivis has rightly mentioned the battery size. The ones for the 206cc are taller than those for the hatchback. That is one of the reasons why I asked for specific details of your car. However, you not responded yet...
Look forward to hearing from you again.

Exactly Col, that's why I asked for details of the car in my initial response. Flying blind....
